How to use a route to get to a waypoint?

I simply want to use a route to get as close as possible to a waypoint, but I can't see how to do this. Surely this is possible? The waypoint may be completely separate to the route file, but I want to follow the route as closely as possible.

Hi,
You can use auto-routing tool, but in this app it's more like "figure it out yourself".
If you need directions, Google Navigation or Waze are just perfect.
