Hi. I was asked to make a post here:
I recorded a track moving on a plain surface, with no elevations, but I can see 30 meters hight difference on the track. Is this a way GPS or AlpineQuest works? In case of AlpineQuest do I need change anything in the settings?

Re: hight difference
Hi Alex,
It's due to the inaccuracies of the GPS. It's even more inaccurate when you have not a clear access to the sky like in woods or with thick clouds.
In order to get a more precise elevation you can use a device with a pressure sensor so the application will use barometric elevations which are more precise.
You can also use an external bluetooth GPS and record it's location from AlpineQuest.
Hope it helps.
