Cannot merge track segments between differents tracks

Hello
I try to follow the procedure described in How to merge tracks? in the online help.
When I switch to the first track the icon number 8 in the online help don't show up.
It show up in the second track as soon as I have done the cut or the copy (and I can do a Past inside the second track) but the icon disappear when switch to the first track.
It looks like the clipboard is lost when switching track.
Any idea?

Hi Alain,
Be sure to open the Placemarks explorer (as shown in the online help) and not copy / paste items from the map (as the clipboard is emptied when you display the map).
In the feature it should work like this (this is a planned improvement), but right now the clipboard is only available in the Placemarks explorer.

It works when done from the Placemarks explorer
May I suggest to fix these 3 points:
1. add this information to the online help
2. In the online help the word Landmarks is used instead of Placemarks. This is a bit confusing.
3. Looking in the online help for merge don't return any item, I would expect to have the page How to merge tracks?
