Hi, Francois.

Hi Alex,
Interested in your request. My understanding of gpx files is that it has a fairly loose structure with presumably a series of keywords.

For what it is worth I am successfully importing Garmin (which I imagine is one of the more common ones) gpx files. In my experience AQ will recognise:
waypoint lat/long
name
description
comment
symbol
url that I can think of and maybe more and ignores the rest.

I have done some simple editing using find/replace in notepad (windows) to fix some issues, mainly symbol conversion.

Regards
David

Hi, David.
I mean a slightly different thing. AlpineQuest can import any gpx waypoint without problems and outputs the imported gpx.ldk file.
The application can also export AlpineQuest wpt format to gpx.
I would like, if possible, to do the reverse conversion.
GPX files are convenient because they can be edited both on a PC and on a phone in any text editor. But often it is more convenient for me to work with wpt files, but not with GPX.
Is there any way to do such a reverse conversion? Or do I want too much?

Yes! I got it,
Import any gpx with many waypoints or single gpx waypoints.
Displayed placemark – three vertical dots on the right
Save all
Name the future ldk file
Find this file in the Placemark file sections
Tap on it and go to the Set of waypoints.
You will see all waypoints from the gpx file.
Select all or separated.
Copy or cut selected and move them to some place
There are AlpineQuest Wpt format waypoints from the gpx file.

Hi
I'm glad you sorted what you wanted to do. I don't think it is anything I would want to do. I was more interested in your earlier Thread 'Set of waypoints'

David

Hi Alex,
Yes the application does import GPX files into .ldk files.
However as David suggests, if you copy a waypoint from the .ldk file to any folder (outside of a .ldk file), the waypoint will be saved into a .wpt file.
You can copy/paste multiple points at once: https://www.alpinequest.net/en/help/v2/ ... iple_items
