AlpineQuest & OfflineMaps

Hello:

I have a offline map (.sqlitedb) with 512px tile size.
When loading this map to AlpineQuest. The road label is really very small
I almost can't see it. Although there is "map display resolution" setting we can adjust.
The road label become more bigger,But the resolution is not good.The road label is not clear.
I hope AlpineQuest can provide a "tile size" setting between 128 and 1024 (in 64 pixel steps) in future.
So we can show clear and good-quality map in AlpineQuest.

AlpineQuest does support any tile sizes.
But it does not depends on the map resolution.

Your map is made of images, so if you want to display the labels larger you must increase the whole images size (this is what does the map display resolution setting).
If you want only the labels larger and not the background content, then this must be done when you create the map, not when you display it.

I know what you mean. But my map has no problem because Alpinequest can display my map very well at last zoom-level.But only last zoom-level can display well. For example,I have a map between zoom level-1 to zoom-level 17.From zoom-level 1 to zoom-level 16,The map display is not good,Road label is really small.But at the Zoom-Level 17,The map display is quite good.I think Alpinequest has the ability to display it well at each level,Maybe just need some user setting?

From the screen recording file,You can see from sec 1-sec 3(zoom level 15--zoom level 16),The map display is not good.But at sec 4 (zoom level 17),The map display is quite good. If possible,I can send you test file for you to check.

In your video, at sec 4, it's not zoom 17. Zoom 17 is selected at sec 3.
What you see at sec 4 is zoom 17 zoomed 2 times by the app, because when you reach the last zoom level and press again the "+" button, the application will zoom the last level (like a digital zoom where).

You are right. My map is quite good at digiatl zoom(scale 2x). Right Now only last zoom-level has digital zoom. Can we have digital zoom at each level,Not only at last level.If current version can't do this.
Is it possible that you add this feature at future version?

I'll see what I can do but I'm not sure there will be simple way to let the user do this without making the app even more complicated.

I will provide 3 .jpg for your reference.Please see attachment of this post.
1.Original map.jpg--Road Label size is really too small.
2.Map with map display resolution 2x.jpg--Road Label size is O.K,But not clear(Jigsaw effect on the Label)
3.Map with digital zoom 2x.jpg--Perfect.

Right Now,We got "map display resolution-1X 2X 3X 4X" submenu under setting menu.
I would suggest we add another extra submenu for "digital zoom-1X 2X 3X 4X" submenu.
Just the same as "map display resolution" submenu
So we don't change original architecture. Just add another extra submenu.
Of course,This is only suggestion.

Yes what I can try to do is to make the "display map resolution 2x" setting look like the "digital zoom 2x".

Then you can see the example map. If possible,Please compare the 3 map first.(Original map ,Map with map display resolution 2x,Map with digital zoom 2x),You will know the "Road label size" issue.
