Select And Save An Area

Using a Samsung A8 Tablet and attemting to "Select And Save An Area".
- Where does the saved area go?
- What is the format?
- Does it save any geo-referenced data?

Hi,
The saved area goe in the application folder (which is set in the app settings, under "storage device"). Specifically in "datastore/builtin-maps" or "datastore/custom-maps".
It's saved in a app specific format which is fast to read, expendable and updatable. Only the map data (image tiles) is saved.
You can manage the data (check stored size for each maps, clear data for some maps) from the maps list.
If you need to store temporary data, you can use a workspace:
