Please check AQ storage with (device File Manager) in Android 11.
scoped storage is unreachable except by AQ & computer.

Yes it's normal Android 11 doesn't allow apps to access other apps files.

I understand this is a limitation of android 11. Does Alpine Quest have any plans to adjust for this such as allowing the user to change the app data directory to the sd card?
I am currently often sharing landmarks from one device to another when in the field (no reception or computer), and syncing my landmarks using a 3rd party app.
It seems both these functions will difficult in android 11

You can still store your data on the SD card, you must simply use the "/Android/data/..." folder on the SD card.
This is the only folder that can be written by the application on the SD card (since version 4.4, this is not new).

Sync apps and file explorer should be allowed to access other apps files as it is their core function and an allowed case (see section "Permitted uses of the all files access permission" here). They should be updated soon accordingly.
