Hi and thanks for AlpineQuest.
FATMAP - 3D Map and Adventure Guidebook is not so good as AQ but I am impressed by 3D view. Is it real to do the same in AlpineQuest?

Hi Alex,
Everything is possible, it's just a matter of time and priority.
When I spend time on one feature, it's some time I don't spend on another. And since I get 3 requests for new features when I add one, at some point my head will explode
Another problem is that some users want to keep the app simple, fast and lightweight, and some others want to add everything in it (vector maps, 3D view, real-time position sharing, etc). What I am supposed to do

Axe wishes, without mercy, including mine
Seriously, some compromise is needed between features and bloat, but 3D is not such wish:
For dynamic 3D OpenGL need to be used - welcome problems with device compatibility. Even GoogleEarth, with all Google resources, works good on some devices but on other it displays a 3D mess. Add layers and waypoints in mix
I live in hilly country and 3D is extremely useful for me, but let be realistic! For time being, you can add GoogleEarth to AQ menu, or if you need topographic 3D maps and offline, OruxMaps [OM integration is problematic, I spent several hours trying to do that correctly, but in the end I got something usable]
Static 3D on other hand .... But so many things need to be done before that, so I will not bother you about static 3D.

No, no.
Keep on developing the application just as you consider it should be. You know better.
Anyway AQ today is one of the best navigation applications!
