[fixed] Slow loading maps

I found out that this happens when SHP files are displayed.

Yes if you have large placemark files displayed it will slow down the map display.

AlpineQuest version 2.2.7 (r6537+), imported large (over 200 MB) maps from JPG + MAP (in PGD) - opens with a higher delay (with more CPU load) than previous versions.

AQ 2.2.7 (r6488) - opens the same maps faster.

Actually there is a problem, it will be fixed in the next beta.
For info 2.2.7 is still in beta, if you need more stable versions you can opt-out of the beta program.

Lex, the problem I've identified is that placemarks displayed far away from the current screen area do slow down the display, whereas they should not. Don't know if it's related.
Edit: this "bug" has been added in r6539. It's only present in the last beta (2.2.4 RC1 - r6583), not in the previous beta (r6537).

But, at this moment, there are no placemarks on the screen at all. And still, there is a delay. So I doubt, that on is the problem.
And, appeared it exactly in version 2.2.7 – r6537 (and above)

I will add, that the problem (with a delay in opening maps) is only for large local maps (over 200 Mb) made in jpg+map and imported by the application (into .pgd), with smaller maps (20-100 Mb) - no delays. Other large local maps (sqlitdb, etc.) open quickly as well.

Latest version of AQ which opened all maps normallay (fast) = 2.2.7 - r6488

Note.
A delay of 2-3 seconds (small) - not critical, but previous versions of AQ - open faster.

Lex, I'll make some tests and let you know. However I'll only be able to test with smaller maps cause I don't have maps that large.
In the meantime and if possible, it would be very helpful for me if you could send me (from the app: main menu -> more -> report errors) one log file after importing a map fast, and one log file after importing with the delay.
