Re: Compass line bug ?
I've seen on 4PDA forum that some users have also the same problem ...
In my case it's Blackview BV9500 Plus

Re: Compass line bug ?
As an update, I've been able to reproduce the problem on a Xiaomi Pocophone, this is a good news.
However I still don't have a suitable solution for this problem. I've realized that drawing the headings without perspective on a perspective map is actually not correct, because the perspective does modify the angles.

Re: Compass line bug ?
Hello,
I don't know if it could help but i've noticed something strange about this lines bug.
If i change this user setting to "orientation.heading_line_width=0" i can see always a very thin line without any bug when the map is inclined at maximum.
The bug come back for value=0.1 and more.
When testing this, i thought that value=0 should display no line.
Maybe any hopeness in this way ? Who knows ?

Re: Compass line bug ?
Unfortunately I haven't been able yet to find a suitable fix that does not impact users not having this issue.
Here is a summary of available information concerning this bug.
AlpineQuest versions: all.
Android versions: Currently, all reported devices use Android 9.0.
Known devices: Multiple (only Chinese brands): Xiaomi Pocophone F1 (Android 9.0), Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro (Android 9.0), Blackview BV9500 Plus (Android 9.0).
Workarounds: Multiple (see previous posts): Limit the pitch of the map while using compass heading, reduce heading line length.

Re: Compass line bug ?
In fact, this bug can affect the compass line but also the GPS line and the circular ruler !
Finally in my case, after many many tests, all workarounds can't solve really the problem because, in landscape mode, the map inclination and the length factor of the lines become ridiculous.
For users with this bug, I think it's better/more useful to disable the inclination of the map and using full length of the different lines and a full circular ruler.
