If I understand you right Try this.
Traffic.zip
(1.5 KiB) Downloaded 297 times
I took it from our Russian 4pda forum

If it's OK for you I will translate all Russian into English and upload it again

Hi Alex,

If you could translate the file in English it should be useful for me.

Hi Alex,
Yes, translation please.
I am amazed there aren't more reactions on the forum. Live traffic info is something valuable.
Thank you.
Friendly greetings Jos

Hi, Jos.

Attached is a zip archive with traffic maps (layers).

I deeply reworked my file, which I posted here above → https://www.alpinequest.net/forum/viewt ... 538#p16238

DONE:
• English translation
• Links to ru resources are replaced by en
• Removed Yandex map, because outside of Russia Yandex traffic is useless
• Added different versions of Google traffic

As to me I like TomTom traffic most of all.

Sometimes it is convenient to compare different traffics. AlpineQuest has an excellent mechanism for this, which is called Compare Maps. I move the slider and compare the picture on the map from different traffic providers.

Hi Alex,
For now: wow, wow wow and wow.
Today came home by car, did use Tom Tom out of curiousity. Did drive into a traffick jam exactly as predicted and came out of it as if A.Q. planned it that way.
Have to say; This is great value.
Thank you for that.
Tomorrow will have a look at what you posted last.
Digital-wise I am not that clever, will let you know if I have a question or if everything worked out fine.
For now all the best from Holland and friendly greetings
Jos

Hi Alex,
Thanks for the translation and the extra versions of google traffic.
COMPARE I use for rainviewer too.
Everything works fine!
The best of it all is to have this in A.Q.
Digitalwise my middle name is simpleton. I cannot achieve the things you can. So to get files like rainviewer and traffic...well what can I say, it's just great.
Friendly greetings and thanks
Jos

Hi, Jos.
As to rainviewer, I made a bundle of layers so I see a kind of "cartoon" on the screen. Also therу are several colour chemes. It works fine in AQ.
I made a comlete description in our Russian 4pda.to forum. Probably I will try to upload some here.

Hi Alex,
About rainviewer:
I assume rainviewer "cartoon"
is something else then
rainviewer "compare" ?
Would be verry nice. I am curious.
Rainviewer is pretty good for where I live, and I suppose for all of Europe. When I compare it with what other apps show it is the same, but it looks better. Also nice that we can change the colour. I do that for the 2.00 hours ago layer. Make it bright red. You only need a brief glance to find out if and where something is going on.
For South America I do know it shows heavier showers but the every day regular rain of the rainy season on the coast is I suppose not on radar. If this topic is changed to weather; I think François is right, he must keep up quality and maintain, it is to much to add.
But, on the other hand, if something like rainviewer comes falling out of the sky, you just wonder what else is possible.
There are, free, good quality, state/government made and maintained weather apps that should not be an app but a layer in A.Q. You'll never know when that falls out of the sky.
Hope you have a good day and
Friendly greetings
Jos

Hi, Jos.

I made Rainviewer maps at 10 minute intervals. The "oldest" map displays precipitation that was 2 hours ago. The "newest" one displays the current precipitation. If all these maps (layers) are placed in AlpineQuest in the right way, then when I use the "Compare" slider, I get this same "cartoon" - the precipitation on the screen moves in the same way as in the official RainViewer application.

Hi Alex,
Yes that is what I have too.
The cartoon compare slider is a great trick. The info rainviewer provides is good. The only rain it cannot predict is the drizzly type that cannot be detected by radar, I found out.
Thanks and
Friendly greetings
Jos
