Let's say I'm offline. I want to know what maps I have stored for the current point (center of screen). That way I could switch to those maps. Let's say I forgot which maps I stored. Well I don't want to have to look through all my maps, trying each one, to see which ones I have stored for that point.

So, tapping a button would show, a list of maps, that I have stored for that point. You might as well rank the list in the total size on disk that way maybe I would know when I move Point farther away if I'm going to maybe see more maps too, or if they will end soon.

Yes absolutely, it would be useful.
In fact this is in the waiting list for quite some time under the name "Maps" / "Add list of available maps for a given area (by Manu)".
