map scale value- silly question

Hi!

How can I change the map scale value to even numbers, e.g. 1:10 000, 1:25 000? When using the zoom buttons, pinching etc. I always end up with odd values...

This is the exact scale ratio based on your screen DPI and map image DPI. There are so many different screen types that it's not possible to create digital maps with exact zoom scales.
In the application settings you can un-check the option "Lock zoom on level" and manually adjust the scale to get something close to 1:25k for example, but it will only display the map with a poor quality (because you'll loose the matching of image pixels and screen physical pixels).
