[closed] Track Recorder Activation

When trying to activate Track Recorder by the toggle I obtain the message "Track Recorder is currently handled by ......"
The toggle will not confirm by staying on and changing to green.
How do I activate Track Recorder on Alpine Request?

Hi and sorry for the delay.
There is no such "activation" for the track recorder.
It seems the application cannot start the track recorder background process. Do you have a device optimizer tool? (that kills background apps).
Try to restart your device and check again, in case it's just a one time issue.

Hi,
Thanks for the help.
I don't have a device optimizer; rebooting did not help, so have uninstalled and reinstalled.
I can now enable the track recorder, but it does not record the location on the track while in background. The result is a series of straight lines.
Location source has been set to Outdoor GPS and updates every 10 seconds. Locating method is High Accuracy GPS, WiFi and mobile networks.
I am sure that the problem is within the settings, but where????
