Hello,
Skitrack (skitrack.fr) provides a layer showing all the slopes with a slope >30°. This is very useful for skitouring because avalanches start only if slope is more than 30°.
Is there a way to add this map or just the >30° layer in AlpineQuest ?
Thanks

Hi,
You can add this layer by putting the attached file in the application folder, inside "/cache/custom-maps/" and restarting the app.
Best regards

Hello,
There is a New layer on skitrack, more accurate. Is it possible to have a new aqx file ? Or is it on geoportail ?
Tanks for your time and your application.
Regards,

Hi and sorry for the delay.
I'm currently working on this feature and the app should be soon able to display slope values anywhere, over any maps.
It won't be on the next update, but probably on the following one.
Best regards

Since AlpineQuest 2.0.8 (published last January), you can display a slope layer all over the world as explained here: https://www.alpinequest.net/en/help/v2/elevations.

Thanks for your answer and your work. My concern was the reliability of this DEM. I imagine, it's far better than the previous SRTM or Aster but the skitrack/ geoportail layer built with a DEM "BDALTI 5m" is very reliable ... but it was just a question :D

As far as I know Skitrack have 2 slope layers, one using BDALTI75 and one using Aster 30, which are both less precise than the built-in slope layer (using SRTMGL1 v3.0).

Anyway both Skitrack and IGN services require paid subscription and so are not available in the application...
