[done] Magnifier bubble floating

Post by boowoo »

Hello,

I use often maps with very small details on a map with small resolution to get a large vision of my tracks.
It's OK because easy to zoom in/out with fingers gesture but i would appreciate to get in options, a "magnifier bubble floating" on the screen for just zoom (ex:Xn in settings) a small screen area that could be dragged with a finger in overlay.
The small details should be more visible without changing the global vision of the map screen.
If needed i can make a picture of my wish.

Regards,
Sam

Hi Sam,
I understand what you mean, however there is already another way available in the application to temporarily zoom the map:
- In the app settings, select "Long press action" then check "Zoom in".
- At any time, long press the map, it will zoom the map until you release you finger.

I know that it's not exactly the same thing as your request but the result is very similar and right now I don't plan to add something else for this.

Thanks for answer,

It's OK, the current feature is good for me (sorry, i didn't see that i can select both hide and zoom for long press)
But for me, in this case, the difference between zoom levels is not enough big.
Is it possible to set it ?
Is there a user setting available for this ?

Right now there is no user setting for this, but I can add one for next beta.

It will be:

Code: Select all

map.canvas.long_press.zoom_in_scale_offset=1
"1" is the current value (like if you increase the map display resolution 1 time in the app settings).
You can put "2" or "3" to increase even more, and also "-1" or "-2" to "unzoom" when long pressing.

The next beta will be available in a few days, with various little things corrected and improved.

Great and better than my first wishes … In my case, i set the zoom on 3 and it's a really good help all the time. :D

Hi, I have been testing the new beta.
"1" is the current value (like if you increase the map display resolution 1 time in the app settings).
You can put "2" or "3" to increase even more, and also "-1" or "-2" to "unzoom" when long pressing.
What are the minimal and maximal values?
