Announcing AlpineQuest 1.0.1

Post by Psyberia-Support »

AlpineQuest 1.0.1 has been released today on the market.

This is a minor version released in order to deliver some features as soon as possible.
Here is the list of enhancements:
  • Auto-move to map : when selecting a map that is out-of-bounds, AlpineQuest asks the user if he wants to slew to the center of the new map (mainly discussed with Robert, but also with Loub and Borg, thanks to them !);
  • Auto-select next waypoint (beta, full version only) : when long-clicking on a waypoint that is part of a GPX route or track, the user can select "Play from this waypoint" to indicate to AlpineQuest to automatically select next waypoint (in route or track) when reaching this first waypoint. The threshold distance can be set in the settings view under "Play next (m)" (this feature has been proposed by Blaze here, thanks to him);
  • Adaptive zoom range : when selecting "More size" in the settings for the map size (use with caution, consumes memory), the user is able to un-zoom more;
  • On-screen shortcuts enhancement : screen shortcuts have changed a little bit and a visual feedback is used;
  • AlpineQuest remembers the state of the geolocation and orientation when restarting (see topic);
  • A new contextual menu has been introduced and must be used to un-select the focused elements. Use the center of the information bar on-screen shortcut to show it;
  • It is now possible to focus all waypoints of a GPX file (previously possible only on route or track waypoints);
  • The scale and zoom ratio is shown when zooming;
  • Current location displays using a fixed length string (thanks to Borg).
Thanks to all AlpineQuest users and buyers.
